Purpose and goal

In addition to the objectives such as in-depth market and world analysis, actor constellation, technical specification and project plan, we have also set the goal of 1. finding the same language for communication across competence diffrences 2. maintaining and strengthening the parties´ understanding of the role of the test bed as well as 3. engaging new actors to broaden the concept, focusing on the public sector such as regions. The goals are achieved, all parties are still engaged and will write the application to a full test bed.

Expected results and effects

Digitalization in the food value chain has great potential. IoT is expected to have a great impact on the entire food chain. For agriculture, the technology contributes to intensified sustainable production per animal and hectare, but also to smarter use of inputs. Several business models are developed by industry and researchers in order to guarantee results from the hypothesis tests. Control of thoughtful hard- and software and interaction between parties´ delivery of data. A clear plan for the application for the implementation of Testbed Digitized Agriculture.

Planned approach and implementation

All participants have been active in the iterative process to find the right focus for the test bed. It has been through two workshops for all parties, one to decide on the goal and one to decide on the continuation. The other process has taken place in bilateral talks and interviews. An inventory of skills needs and alternative business models are available. The project leader has attended an international conference and visited the European Commission to sell the test bed, the result being that the test bed is included in the EU project, IoF. The test beds have also met with test bed UAV.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
