Important results from the project
AAH has, in collaboration with civil society, business, academia and the public sector, developed a user-driven testbed to stimulate the use of welfare technology that meets user needs. The target group has been staff in the public sector, people with disabilities, the elderly and relatives. Tests of welfare technology have been carried out in various sectors and in civil society. A test process with supporting materials has been created and published. The users´ needs have been matched with business solutions. The work in the municipalities has been run by appointed test leaders.
Expected long term effects
Conducted tests in municipalities and in civil society show that welfare technology can contribute to activity, security, participation and independence. Test leaders have led the work with support from the AAH team. Through the systematic work in the test environments, we see an increased interest in welfare technology. The 13 GR municipalities have decided to jointly fund a resource team in 2024-2026 with the task of providing continued support regarding welfare technology. The target group is broadened to include the entire area of social services as well as municipal health care.
Approach and implementation
The project has been based on 6 different work packages with defined objectives. Follow-up of its planned activities and processes has been done continuously by the AAH team. A steering group with various actors has had regular meetings. The composition has been significant as the representatives contributed with different perspectives and contacts. The project has had an important anchoring to management at Göteborgsregionen and to the relevant management networks from the 13 municipalities. The test leaders have ensured the process in the 13 municipalities and in civil society.
