Purpose and goal
The project has established a new collaboration between two worlds that have not benefited sufficiently from each other. The technical development of open data, semantic web and linked data on the one hand, and the terminology sector, with its expertise on the other.
Expected results and effects
The main findings are that the project identified a possible way forward for the publication of linked, terminological, semantic resources online. The original idea of a Wikidata centered technology solution did not fully work out. But a ´BegreppsNav´ that reuses the principles of the established KulturNav is a very interesting solution, where we can reuse already-built infrastructure.
Planned approach and implementation
Most planned activities have been implemented according to plan: - Inventory of completed and ongoing projects - Inventory of foreign initiatives - Consider if Wikidata can be used as a node - Discuss with different parties about a future model - Produce a report on that model - Investigate the interest to participate in stage 2 The following have been partially implemented: - Investigate and suggest how semantic resources can be managed - Determine and define the necessary project-related meta-concepts The following has not been implemented: - Produce a finished proposal for step 2
