Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to investigate the possibilities for digitalization of the heat treatment industry. Within the project, a gas process was studied at Bodycote Värmebehandling. A more general methodology for digitalization has been developed. The prerequisites for successful digitization are considered to be good.
Expected results and effects
The expected result of the project was to lay the ground for a successive application for a larger FUI project.
Planned approach and implementation
We have used methods based on statistical machine learning and artificial intelligence to analyze quality data collected by Bodycote during the entire project period. Within the project, we have also developed a more general methodology for digitizing industrial processes, which means combining available process knowledge with collected process data for maximum yield.
