Important results from the project
We have explored how the city of Stockholm can work towards a system transformation for an age-friendly city using collaboration and stakeholder involvement, with a focus on urban planning. Through collaboration, we have identified physical and digital ways to engage, as well as identifying success factors, enablers and barriers. We discovered that something as simple as a changed bus route could have a major impact on citizens´ health, which shows the importance of inclusion in processes.
Expected long term effects
In the pre-study, the parties have both tested and learned different working methods. We have applied dialogue, insight generation and problem understanding in our work, we have identified how other cities work for age-friendliness, and how they are grappling with the same challenges as the City of Stockholm. Both parties have expanded their networks. 2 new collaborations and 2 applications Provided that we find new funding, there are problem formulations and solutions we want to test.
