Purpose and goal

The purpose of the Feasibility Study Research Platform was to identify one or more strategic partners who can offer long-term management of the Research Platform when nationally introduced. The aim was to contribute to creating the conditions for a successful reception of the technical environment, which will contribute to effective research work in Sweden The objective has well been met by deliveries within all the feasibility study areas according to the expected results and within the given time frame.

Expected results and effects

The results consist of several part deliveries: 1) identification of long-term managers including action plan, 2) identification of the ambassadors for the concept, 3) implementation of the legal investigation, 4) identification of the process for the development of business models, 5) maintenance of the operation and management of the Research Platform. Overall, the project has laid the foundation for regional and national implementation, which can create more effective research processes, contribute to the identification of feasibility data by means of a "keystroke".

Planned approach and implementation

The feasibility study has been carried as a broadly based national project. Close dialogues were held as well with the life science, as industry, the county councils and the Academy. A total of approximately 20 parties/organizations have been involved. The work has been conducted in the 4 sub-areas: management, law, business models, dissemination of cross-functional dialog to ensure good results, including through both inspiring focus group meetings and individual semi structured interviews. For dissemination of results has a "base" report been produced.
