Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim project was to strengthen Swedish competitiveness in cell and gene therapy (advanced therapies; ATMP) by increasing Sweden´s visibility and attractiveness, creating a Swedish ATMP conference and developing or improving the systems within which ATMP is developed or used. The goals have been met through broad collaborations within the work packages and system development projects that have been implemented.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The results of the project are available at atmpsweden.se; the regulatory guide (SDP1), the feasibility study for evaluation analyzes of human embryonic stem cells (SDP2), the teaching and support material “commercial aspects” (SDP3), the report material Manufacturing of Gene Therapy Products: A Swedish Perspective (SDP4) and the competence network SWECARNET (SDP5). Today, ATMP Sweden is a natural point of contact both nationally and internationally, which is an effect of the communication work within the project.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Since the start, the project has been carried out in close collaboration with the CAMP competence center and its activities have been developed over time and have been demand-driven. The project plan has been continuously updated as new system development projects are designed. A joint process for project proposals and their approval was designed jointly with CAMP, new project partners have been added over time. Flexibility has been crucial to the success of the project.
