Purpose and goal
The project has met project objectives. Activities carried out and meeting places established have increased collaboration and knowledge exchange between sectors, regions and actors and contributed to that life science projects have increased knowledge concerning available research and development infrastructures and available expertise in companies. Furthermore, the project has contributed to increased consensus on priorities of initiatives to strengthen life science in Sweden.
Expected results and effects
The project has developed a working method to stimulate the establishment of new meeting places that stimulate collaboration between public and private sectors, which has resulted in strengthened networks. The project has contributed to increasing the visibility of competences and infrastructures in Sweden needed to develop research results into practical applications in the health area. By stimulating the influx of competences in projects, this project created better conditions for strong research and development collaborations that address global health challenges.
Planned approach and implementation
The project went from being main organizer of collaborative meetings to primarily supporting external meeting places. One consequence of this is that many more collaboration meetings could be held. Elaborated process to support, co-organize and participate in external meetings worked well. Mapping of R&D infrastructures worked well, but keeping it updated was a challenge. Collaboration with law firm and lawyers at academic Innovation Offices concerning development of legal guidance, All Right Legal Support, for projects about to initiate business collaboration worked well.
