Important results from the project
The platform has, in a clear way, enforced the structures to collect the Swedish indusrty´s need regarding research issues related to resource efficiency and channeled these through their respective contact fora in EU to influence future call texts in the H2020 programme. The work has resulted in deepened contacts with Swedish industry, who´s understanding of the possibility of acutally influencing call texts has increased. The funding has resulted in a more contiunous presence of the partners in their EU networks, which enforces the possibility to make the Swedish voice heard.
Expected long term effects
Much of the platorm´s work will not be obvious until after the termination of the first phase, but already now, there are elements in some call texts (e.g. SPIRE 1 and 7) which are completely in line with the questions that the platform partners have promoted. On the Swedish side, the contact surfaces between industry and political authorities have increased, as well as contact surfaces between companies that hereby increase their knowledge in how they can work with resource efficiency issues by learning from each other. Further details are found in the Appendix 1 (in Swedish).
Approach and implementation
Most of the work has been according to plans, but with some deviations due to early retirement and shift in contact persons. The deviations have, however, been handled and some planned activities have been replaced with others having equivalent relevance to the aim and goals of the platform. The internal soordination will be enforced during the nest phase of the work. This because it has not been completely satisfactorily done during phase 1 and also because the platform will add a partner, RE:Source, which increases the demand for more intense internal coordination.
