Project duration February 2019 - December 2020
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of this project was to give Swedish SME an opportunity to participate in UCLA GAP to receive insights and recommendations about if and how they should approach the US market. The goal has been to give nine companies an opportunity to receive 50% of the program fee subsidized. Both the purpose and the goal of the project has been achieved.

Expected long term effects

The result of the project is that nine companies have participated in the UCLA Global Access Program during 2019-2020. The expectation was that the program would provide valuable insights and to give guidance to participating companies in regards to a potential future approach to the US market. We are delighted to have received feedback from several participating companies that they have identified market potential and that they will proceed to establish sales in the US market, either on their own or through partners.

Approach and implementation

The evaluation has primarily been conducted over phone and in some instances over email. Questions to participating companies have included their overall thoughts on the program, how the digital way of working during 2020 worked, if there are any next steps, if the program met their expectations and whether they felt it was worthwhile to participate.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
