Important results from the project
The project has strengthened Sweden´s aerospace sector by developing national and international collaboration and long-term competence supply. Through graduate schools, joint research projects and workshops, collaborations between universities, companies and international partners have been strengthened. The results contribute to future research and innovation initiatives, increased international competitiveness and a stronger connection between research and the needs of industry.
Expected long term effects
The project will have long-term effects through strengthened competence supply, increased national coordination and international collaborations in aerospace. The networks and collaboration that have been established between academia and industry and public actors create the conditions for new research projects, innovations and strategic investments. The results contribute to strengthening Sweden´s international competitiveness and ability to meet future technical and societal challenges.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented through SARC´s national collaboration between Swedish universities, industry and international partners. The work included a research school with doctoral courses, joint research projects, annual meetings, workshops and international collaborations, including with Brazil, Germany, France and the UK. The project also included strategic work on skills provision, industry collaboration and the development of research strategies in aerospace technology.
