Purpose and goal
Aurora Swarm develops a Swedish demonstrator for AI-driven drone collaboration, where multiple platforms can autonomously identify, prioritise and track targets. The goal is to show how distributed intelligence and resilient communication enable faster, safer and more reliable operations in defence and civilian applications.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to demonstrate swarm control at TRL 6–7, showing that autonomous drones can operate collaboratively in real environments. The results strengthen Sweden’s ability to develop and deploy advanced drone technology, enhance operational safety, and bring value to rescue services, police, defence and critical infrastructure.
Planned approach and implementation
The project runs in three phases: preparation and hardware setup, development of AI and swarm control, and field testing with operational partners. Through iterative development and real-world testing, the project delivers a robust demonstrator for Swedish autonomous drone swarms.
