Important results from the project

The project has developed Texpass ID, a digital product passport tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises in the textile industry. The goals of traceability, transparency, and sustainable production have been achieved through a working prototype tested by five pilot customers. The collaboration with DiaPure demonstrates that the solution can also be adapted to other sectors. The project enhances opportunities for more circular practices and potential for future applications. texpassid.com

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to contribute to a more sustainable and circular textile industry by making digital product passports accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises. In the long term, this can increase transparency in the value chain, reduce overproduction, and facilitate reuse and recycling. The solution also has the potential to be applied in other industries where traceability and sustainability are critical.

Approach and implementation

The project largely followed the plan, although the timeline was adjusted to ensure quality and customer engagement. Key activities were completed, including the development of Texpass ID, testing, and workshops. Collaboration with project partners worked better than expected. Some parts, especially related to reuse, were not fully completed, partly due to external factors such as limited textile recycling infrastructure.
