Purpose and goal
The REPS project accelerates resource-efficient production solutions in forestry, driving system change towards a circular, competitive and climate-neutral forest industry. Through electrification, digital optimisation and new services, it reduces CO₂ emissions and costs. Led by Södertörn University with partners, it supports Sweden’s net-zero goals and strengthens global competitiveness.
Expected effects and result
REPS is expected to develop and test business models and solutions that cut CO₂ emissions, increase resource efficiency and reduce labour costs in forestry. Through electrification, digital optimisation and better value-chain coordination, the project will strengthen the sector’s competitiveness and its contribution to Sweden’s net-zero transition.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is organized into four work packages. WP1 identifies REPS solutions and creates initial business models focused on sustainability analysis. WP2 enhances these models through socio-technical analyses, stakeholder engagement, and workshop testing. WP3 validates and refines the models while developing plans for commercialization and scalability. WP4 oversees project management, integration, and dissemination efforts.
