Purpose and goal
By strengthening the staffing of the MAX IV industrial office with one person, we have been able to significantly expand our efforts towards the industry. We have opened up a whole new large cluster aimed at the food and packaging industry with a strong industry commitment and a clear link with academic groups, institutes and MAX IV. We have also been able to strengthen and reach more areas in LifeScience, MedTech, metal, energy and textiles. In addition to the industry-specific investments, we have also started to develop a gathering place for all industry-oriented investments.
Expected results and effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Through the investment, the industrial office at MAX IV has been able to work strategically in five different sectors and has been able to start developing a unifying arena for the various initiatives and the actors. The project has also made the service permanent at MAX IV and the industrial office now has a permanent staff of two people. Satsningen Northern Lights on Food in the food and packaging area has in a short time become the leading platform for industrial linked research in synchrotron and neutron techniques.
Planned approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** After a very successful recruitment with good search pressure and several good candidates (17 men and 17 women applicant ), we quickly started working on new sectors. Through experience from previous investments in the forest industry and the metal industry, we have developed a model and a process for reaching out to new industries. Through this project we have used this model to establish the new investment in the food and packaging industry.
