Purpose and goal

The aim of the project was to 1) establish a dialogue in Östergötland about public health which was reached; 2) that the application should after established use lead to better informed intervention among municipalities and other actors in the region, which the management of business intelligence is evaluating; 3) lead to better formulated assignments of analysis and reports when the use is established but which already today is evident when officials themselves can delve into statusostergotland.se before formulating assignments.

Expected results and effects

Status Östergötland was release December 16 of 20016 and i now in use in Region Östergötland and in the municipalities of the county to produce statistical data about public health. The reception has been very good among politicians and officials and I now managed in management of Business Intelligence. During 2017 some management development is planned and systematic needs assessment is collected though tjänstemannanätverket för folkhälsa i Östergötland, and e-hälsonätverket i Östergötland.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was performed during a major reorganization. The county council of Östergötland turned into Region Östergötland, and the service and support organization was reorganized. The process of coordinating officials in municipalities, public health networks, and IT development was initially difficult and not easy to synchronize, but through agile development and a strong emphasis on decentralization did the work with statusostergotland.se during the project agile and coordinated.
