Important results from the project
The Vinnova workshops generated seven linked concepts that need further developing and exploration. This project will map the current state of innovation practice for two of these concepts: the Delivery and the Conductor.
Expected long term effects
The project generated a report that built mainly upon extensive interviews with experts within the area of urban logistics. Thee experts were from academia, industry, and government. The primary result was a recognition that there are three key tensions that impact projects and pilots within urban logistics: constriction vs coordination, silos vs system-of-systems, and competition vs cooperation.
Approach and implementation
In order to capture the state of innovation the project was built around a literature review that led to interviews with key people from the central stakeholders in urban logistics: industry, government, and academia. The information gathered from the literature and from interviews was analysed and presented.
