Important results from the project
LigniCarb Add is a project originating from the on-going LigniCarb project. In contrast to LigniCarb, where the focus is on the more easily spun hardwood kraft lignin, LigniCarb Add will specifically address processing of softwood kraft lignin for carbon fibre production. The objective of LigniCarb Add is to establish the conditions for stabilisation and carbonisation, respectively, of softwood kraft lignin fibres, to create a new value-added business opportunity for the Forestry Industry.
