Important results from the project

Vinnova´s funding supported the work with user experience, one of the key factors of making the technology easy to implement large-scale. This includes support for multi-installations, a wizard that guides you through the configuration and self-diagnostics for complete automation. In addition, patent-pending methods simplify installations even further - and make them safer.

Expected long term effects

- First UI for multi-installation We now have a tool to match multiple sensors´ point clouds into a common one. This increases the resolution of the point cloud, reduces shadowing and increases the range of the monitoring area. - Implemented self-diagnosis (loss of points) Self-diagnosis is implemented, where we get an alarm if something is wrong with the input data. With these features, the solution becomes more secure, even if it is installed by a 3rd party. The self-diagnosis is also an important part of meeting safety requirements such as the machine directive.

Approach and implementation

Tromb has contributed sketches for the user interface, then Amnext has made the Wizard together with us. Internally, we have developed the user interface and standardized the installation process in collaboration with both customers and potential partners. This work has included integrations to external systems, user stories, data management, setting requirements, business model validation and discussions about service and support (product life cycle).
