Purpose and goal

The project has in line with the application achieved its purpose, giving suggestions on the technology that can be used and in some cases, how it should be used. The project has provided a higher knowledge about the technology itself and has also created an collaboration between Solutions for tomorrow AB and the Swedish research institute SP in Borås.

Results and expected effects

The batteries meet the criteria to be used. The technology does, however, require a deeper knowledge and more attention must be paid to the limitations, system design and security. The project has also demonstrated additional benefits with the technology.

Approach and implementation

The project started on schedule. After contacts with the battery experts at SP in Borås was it decided to move most of the tests to SP and to change priorities between different test setups. Difficulties around the testing and availability of the test equipment delayed completion date of the project from 1st of April to 1st of June. Cooperation with SP, however, resulted in a higher quality of the project and a better base for decision. Tests carried out with battery and X-ray generator has given very valuable information for the planning of further work.
