Important results from the project

The purpose of the project is to create attraction for the field of resource-smart industry among students by increasing the number of degree projects in the field. Knowledge about how organizations can work more efficiently and target-oriented with degree projects has increased and a report has been produced with the aim of giving companies tools to work more strategically, which can lead to more degree projects being produced. A material has been produced with the aim of inspiring and facilitating supervision of degree projects to meet the need for more company supervisors in the field

Expected long term effects

The project has resulted in a package of materials which, in the long run, is expected to increase the number of degree theses in resource-smart industry. The material will be sent out widely in connection with activities around degree projects. The assessment is that the material can provide increased knowledge about how companies can work more strategically with degree projects and increase understanding of the supervision of degree projects from a company perspective. The material is cross-industry and is also expected to increase knowledge for companies outside the project area.

Approach and implementation

The material is based on 28 in-depth people with various positions in both industry and academia, a workshop with 18 participants and by gathering information from previous projects, guides and scientific articles in the field. The material was developed with a focus on it being easily accessible visually with a text adapted to the target group and that the material would be available in several different formats to further increase accessibility.
