Venture Strategic innovation programme for process industrial IT and automation – PiiA

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to organize the participants and create confidence for cooperation. Working together in a platform benefits the development of right competence and use of new technology to increase the functionality and security. Cost reduction is essential for the companies for rapidly be able to develop new products and services which is required in order to be in forefront. Successful cooperation will lead to better products and strengthen the competitiveness for Swedish companies.

Results and expected effects

Efforts to find a form of cooperation platform continue while the platform is active within certain areas. The companies want to cooperate with the evaluation of sensors for the common priority obstacle detection. The expected result for the process industry in the long run is to more rapidly take advantage of new technology solutions for more efficient and secure business solutions. Several autonomous machines with the ability to work together can potentially bring great benefits to the users.

Approach and implementation

The initial workshop created a climate of cooperation in which we then built content. The project was given an effective start thanks to all participants´ prior knowledge in the field. The project participants have completed their tasks and delivered, from their perspective / position. Introduction and final presentation was held in the conference center at Arlanda airport, meetings in Västerås, respectively Orebro were taken place in between (March / April).
