Purpose and goal
When flying TBO (Time Based Operations) the physical distance between arriving aircraft will vary during the arrival and approach. This is due to many different factors such as aircraft performance, external factors (atmospheric) and other constraints on the arrival route. The aim of this project is to demonstrate the effect and impact from these factors on the physical separation. This knowledge will be essential for the design of a more efficient and safe airspace in the future ATM system
