SENPO: Strategy for Extending the Network of Project Officers

Reference number
Coordinator Umeå universitet - Institutionen för informatik
Funding from Vinnova SEK 600 000
Project duration October 2012 - May 2014
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to develop ProcessIT´s internationalization strategy, particularly with respect to the potential partners in growth regions outside Europe. Through the project´s model for an ´internationally expanded network of virtual ProcessIT nodes to dedicated project broker´ ProcessIT has been able to set a strategy for its internationalization efforts.

Results and expected effects

The project should deliver a revised strategy for ProcessIT´s continued internationalization, but also establish new nodes in ProcessIT´s network of project brokers in Brazil and Australia. The project has contributed to a new approach in ProcessIT, and through the partnerships, established in Brazil in the pulp and paper and in cleantech, also put these nodes to efficient operations. Due to delays on the Australian track, the established node has not really been fully tested. This will be done in fall 2015 (outside the project), hopefully verifying effective nodes even in Australia.

Approach and implementation

The project was been carried out based on an initially outlined strategy, which then has been tested through project meetings and concrete cooperation activities before and during the visits to Brazil and Australia. Based on the collaboration commitment, created among project stakeholders both in Sweden and in approached growth regions, we assess the outcome of the project as strong.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
