Important results from the project

The goal with SEAMLESS was to create a working prototype of an SDN platform that will help in the movement into the virtual networking space. A journey that is inevitable, but also very unclear with details. The SDN space is an area with a lot of R&D efforts and the landscape is shifting often. We have seen that our target of handling both legacy and SDN environments is an area that is needed in the future and the future starts now.

Expected long term effects

We have worked hard all the way up until the end of the project and performed a demonstration for approximately 60 persons from both customers and partners with a very positiv response. We have concluded that our original analysis of this area is correct and that there is a big market need for a product like this. Even if this project has now come to an end, we will continue on this track and take our prototype to be a solid part of our product portfolio. We will continue to focus on this area and Vinnova has been of huge help to us in this regard.

Approach and implementation

To define and plan a project one and a half year in advance is never easy. Certain things were simple and others much harder than we had anticipated. Despite this, we never doubted that we would be succesful or that the project was in a ways wrong. We are extremely satisfied and proud of our accomplishment and the project team will continue to live on in order to take our prototype to the next level and become a solid part of our portfolio.
