Purpose and goal
Investigate how ownership with Delägarboende affects property economics, management economics and sustainability over time for Östersundshem and whether it can enable renovations with lower rent increases? An investigation into the interest and willingness to buy amongst current tenants A financial investigation that includes: Step-up ownership over time, guarantee commitments to support residents to buy their home and how different financing scenarios affect Östersundshem´s finances over time
Expected effects and result
An in-depth and current analysis of ownership in public housing as a way to partially finance necessary renovations with reasonable rent increases. Knowledge of the financial impact of guarantee commitments through existing properties and instep ownership over time. Ownership within investments already made and with financial support through the public housing idea could be an important equality and gender equality reform that gives people more opportunities for ownership without equity.
Planned approach and implementation
The work will focus on jointly identified areas and challenges with renovation in order to achieve the best possible quality in the calculations. But the work will also have a more holistic approach where new construction, floor additions and other measures are seen as a whole in order to achieve a management economy that is sustainable over time. The financial investigations are intended to be useful for the entire public housing. The projectgroup has extensive expertise from public housing.
