The aim is to develop an electronic device, an app or a game, that challenges the prevailing norms in the Police. During the prestudy the norms in the systematic analysis in use has been challenged and critically processed in cooperation with the agents. The result of the prestudy is a solid foundation for continued work and a prototype.

The agents has begun to discuss and analyze their conceptions of gender and taken part in the elaboration of the prototype. They have actively listened to the stories of ex-addicts and started the discussion of consequences of gender norms on their daily work and work group culture. The expected outcome is the enhanced importance of their involvement in the innovation process for the device to come to use. The prototype is now at the stage of first testing and development.

Approach and implementation

Bye gathering representatives from various organizations and fields at seminars encounters and dialogues has occurred which has resulted in useful networks, work groups constellations and shaping of the prototype. The set-up with seminars and group meetings has therefore led to expected outcome with enhanced cooperation and active involvement with both agents and ex-addicts. It has generated a raised level of awareness on gender as a crucial factor that needs to be addressed.
