Project duration March 2019 - December 2020
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to produce prototypes on plates with different patterns. Within the project, we have manufactured a sheet with a pattern, the production has been successful and the result is what is expected. A successful project had been to manufacture a first sheet for customers in each segment Table-tops or cladding sheet. However, we did not succeed in making more plates within the project period as the pandemic resulted in long delivery times for plates. Through discussions with customers, we have knowledge of the material requirements they place on their products.

Expected long term effects

The result on manufactured sheet metal shows that the patterns we create in the sheet metal with the help of the tool and with rolling according to the manufacturing process are as expected. Our pattern-creating model with associated processes for the production of sheet metal gives us a resource-efficient production of 3D patterned sheet metal. We planned to make several plates but he only with one plate.

Approach and implementation

We divided the project into different work packages. AP1 to AP5. We used an agile project model where we could control and expand / change activities depending on the results we obtained. The arrangement with customers was difficult to implement due to external circumstances in the form of a pandemic.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
