Important results from the project
The planing project RESIST aimed to establish the basis for an international research application (RESYST-INFRA) on resilience, sustainability and resource efficiency in transport infrastructure, with a particular focus on concrete structures within TEN-T-nätverket. The goal was to produce a high-quality and competitive proposal to Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL5-2026-01-D6-07, that was achieved by the consortium on 20/01/2026
Expected long term effects
The project has generated new contacts and strengthened collaborations with Swedish and international stakeholders through consortium building. This has led to identification of synergies regarding climate adaptation and circular economy, considered to have high potential for future research projects. The research analysis improved the quality of the application and identified new research questions and ideas that can form the basis for applications within Horizon Europe or other programmes.
Approach and implementation
The project implementation consisted of three critical steps: consolidating the consortium, establishing a structured proposal, and ensuring that the project´s objectives are in line with the call´s aim and expected impacts. The project largely followed the original plan, but some delays occurred due to late response from authorities, which in turn were caused by the complexity of the project. A crucial part was ensuring the participation and commitment of the stakeholders.
