Important results from the project
The research project was carried out in cooperation between LKAB and the University of Adelaide, Australia. The goal was to increase the personal competence and experience in methods to analyze experimental data from R & D work regarding combustion rotary kilns which is part of LKAB´s production process. In the project a suitable working method has been developed and used. Through this work new and deeper knowledge of the subject is obtained. Cooperation with the international organization has led to expanded research network.
Expected long term effects
New and deeper knowledge of the subject is obtained. Cooperation with the international organization has led to expanded research network. Expected effects are increased opportunities for career development within the competence area, increased opportunities for process development and innovation, and increased opportunities for cooperation within the established network.
Approach and implementation
The approach to reach the project´s goal was to work together with expert competence at the University of Adelaide in order to use their experience and research network. The work had concrete goals linked to LKAB´s process technology which facilitated the control of the project. Knowledge exchange took place at recurrent meeting for coaching / mentoring when the achieved results was discussed and further work was planned.
