Purpose and goal
The goals of the project during Bio-X was to develop a finalized version of the IT-solution, ready for commercialization and implementation. The IT-solution would also improve the postoperative recovery in day-surgery patients. A clinical study, where Rapp is used, has been performed during the Bio-X project. The study is completed, but the research results are not yet published. In general, the patients using Rapp had a better quality in the postoperative recovery than the control group
Expected results and effects
Because the results of the study not yet has been published, we are not able to describe the results more than that the effects of using Rapp has been positive both for the quality of the patients recovery and health economics.
Planned approach and implementation
The project team was formed for a parallel work with development of the IT-solution, business development and quality/regulatory issues. The regulatory area however, was more extensive and had more impact on the team and the development of the IT-solution as well as the business model than expected. The project still managed to reach the goals but the project plan had to be adapted.
