Purpose and goal
Radar2035 brings together Swedish and international actors from academia, industry, and the public sector to co-create a shared vision for next-generation radar and multifunctional RF systems. The project aims to align national strengths, identify strategic opportunities, and position Sweden as a leader in radar innovation.
Expected effects and result
The project will map capabilities and opportunities, identify key radar technology and collaboration pathways, and draft a 10-year research and innovation roadmap outlining technology priorities, collaboration models, skills needs, and funding strategies.
Planned approach and implementation
Radar2035 will be implemented through five coordinated activities: community building, capability mapping, opportunity analysis, international alignment, and roadmap development. The process is structured around three workshops between November 2025 and February 2026, engaging academia, industry, institutes, and public actors to co-create a shared vision and a 10-year research and innovation roadmap.
