Reference number
Coordinator Högskolan Väst
Funding from Vinnova SEK 2 930 000
Project duration December 2021 - January 2025
Status Completed

Important results from the project

A quality framework has been developed as a webpage with resources and tools to support the implementation and quality development of WIL-based education in higher education and working life. The framework (www.kailu.hv.se) can be used to strengthen collaboration and improve educational quality. Through the co-creation and verification of the framework by academia and collaboration partners, WIL has become a quality mark that can be spread to more higher education institutions and organisations.

Expected long term effects

University West wants to be a leading WIL institution nationally and internationally. Through collaborative quality development, educational offerings will attract the workforce of the future and meet the needs of organisations. The quality framework will contribute to strategic and practical educational collaboration and create the conditions for collaborative quality development, clear value propositions and national guidelines for WIL and lifelong learning for universities and organisations.

Approach and implementation

The group was interdisciplinary and involved actors outside the university and focused on co-creation of knowledge. The work packages: project management, mapping, conceptualization, system development, communication provided relevant activities and milestones. A qualitative approach was adopted with interviews, workshops, internships in both internal and public contexts. Deep collaboration was crucial to verify results, adapt activities to real needs and contributed to the project group´s WIL.
