Project duration November 2018 - February 2020
Status Completed
Venture Collaboration projects in cybersecurity and digital infrastructure

Purpose and goal

Objective: develop a prototype portal, with solutions to challenges that a portal for societal security would face. The goal has been met and below is a brief description of the parts that have been designed, implemented and tested. The portal is available for demonstration. 1. An architecture that shows how security levels and information dissemination in the portal are resolved through advanced security technology. 2. Design rules have been developed for the development of secure applications. 3. Four applications have been developed to demonstrate the concepts.

Expected results and effects

The expected effects of the prototype, as described in the initial report, have essentially been achieved within the specified time and financial framework. The expected effects are in summary: Effect 1, exemplification of information sharing at different security levels. Effect 2, use of design rules for development, documentation, review and testing of applications. Effect 3, demonstration of functionality for management, decision support, communication, personal security and an alarm function.

Planned approach and implementation

Coordination, management and planning of vital societal security functions in real time put strict requirements on access and quality of the information used. With this project we wanted to show that a new generation of cost-effective IoT-based utilization of information in societal security is possible. Our prototype is an example of the next generation of digitalisation in societal security and shows a model for promoting innovation & collaboration between government and business, and a structure for cooperation for national development in digitalisation for social security.
