Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The purpose of the feasibility study is to identify what is needed for the development of professional unmanned aviation. The needs of professional unmanned aviation can be summarized as follows: to be able to easily and quickly inform interested parties of their plans for a specific imminent flight and get a quick approval that it may be implemented. In addition, you often need to fly out of sight of the operator and in airspace where there may also be other air traffic, often at altitudes below 500 feet.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The preliminary study shows that services and technology for the preparatory phase of unmanned flights (pre-flight) are at a relatively mature level. However, it also shows that there is still a lot left to do when it comes to services, technology, standardization and regulations to provide adequate support and the outside world such as ongoing rescue efforts, weather, mm during the flights themselves (in-flight).

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Developing and publishing a request to the market (Request for Information, RFI) for a system and service solution for handling unmanned aerial vehicles in Sweden, hereinafter referred to as the UTM solution where UTM stands for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Traffic Management. Review of RFI. World monitoring at national, European and global levels. Summary documentation of the above work, decision basis and recommendations for future work, in the form of this feasibility study report.
