Purpose and goal

The prestudy has delivered a blue print for a national AI center containing organization (structure, governance, crew, partnership), service offering, resource needs, budget and funding, work processes, membership structure, contractual proposals, links to other initiatives and local needs. Important part deliveries are: Prospects for partnership Market analysis Study trips Application for basic funding of AI Innovation of Sweden (Vinnova) Application for basic funding of AI Innovation of Sweden (VGR) Partnership agreement All stated objectives in the application are met

Expected results and effects

The concept for the national AI center complies with the effects described in the application: - A world-class environment where access to large amounts of unique and interesting data will attract researchers - Make a focal point for applied AI-related projects and data generation - Enable cross-fertilization of AI knowledge between different areas of application - Develop methods and infrastructure to handle large amounts of data in order to effectively train AI algorithms - Have a high international profile. - Supplement and support Swedish initiatives within AI

Planned approach and implementation

The project has conducted both analysis and synthesis. 100s interviews with stakeholders have been conducted and 10 workshops. The project has been supervised and supported by a steering group that have met 13 times during the project period.
