Call Impact Innovation: Preparatory project for a reformed public sector

Purpose and goal

The aim is to create a knowledge base that highlights the connection between faith in the future, well-being and participation. To achieve this, methods will be developed for meaningful co-creation in the borderland between art, place and the public sector. In parallel, relevant actors will be identified and a cross-sectoral consortium, called "Museum Helix”", will be established. The consortium will consist of representatives from citizens, academia, public sector, business and the art world.

Expected effects and result

The results of the preparatory project will form the basis for a future implementation project. Advisory board and network established in the feasibility study will be a platform for long-term collaboration, dissemination and implementation of results – both within and outside Malmö. In the first phase, we will examine the approach towards academia, how we can collaborate in new ways, where artists possess the innovative power to develop over time with civil society, public sector and business.

Planned approach and implementation

The project compiles research on future competence, well-being and co-creation. Based on the insights, methods combine foresight tools with museum-based working methods. The art museum is used as a test bed - relevant actors are mapped and an advisory board is created. The methods are tested in pilots with participation by citizens, business, the private sector, artists and academia, which provides a knowledge base and identifies opportunities and obstacles for a larger implementation project.
