Status Ongoing
Venture Cluster of Excellence for Cutting-Edge Technologies - calls for proposals
Call Visions for world-leading research and innovation in strategic technology areas

Purpose and goal

Our vision is that by 2035, Sweden will be a world leader in precision cardiology, achieving the best possible heart health. The cluster will use advanced health data to drive breakthroughs in AI and biotechnology. By integrating data from registries, biobanks, omics, and imaging, we will enable early risk assessment and more precise cardiovascular care.

Expected effects and result

A clearly defined vision A robust consortium consisting of industry, academia, the public sector, and civil society, with the competence and capacity needed to realize the vision A plan to use existing data from registries, patient cohorts, and biobanks to train privacy-preserving generative simulators that produce multidimensional synthetic datasets which cannot be linked to individual persons Relevant target groups are aware of the vision

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be carried out in four parts: 1) formulate and anchor a joint vision and roadmap for precision cardiology 2035, 2) build a strong consortium across healthcare, academia, industry, and the public sector, 3) develop a plan to use existing data and create privacy-preserving AI simulators, and 4) communicate the vision and visualize the cluster’s potential.
