Important results from the project
The pre-TAILORR main goal was to prepare and submit a Horizon Europe proposal (TAILORR) on remanufacturing which was successfully accomplished. The project resulted in a European consortium of 20 partners from seven EU countries. The funding enabled the partnership to work on concept development, work planning, and proposal writing. The pre-TAILORR project created important networks and synergies with other European and national initiatives in sustainable manufacturing and the circular economy.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to strengthen Sweden´s and Europe´s position in sustainable and circular manufacturing by enabling long-term collaboration through the TAILORR consortium. It builds lasting networks, accelerates industrial adoption of remanufacturing, and supports the green and digital transition toward resource-efficient, climate-neutral production.
Approach and implementation
The pre-TAILORR project was carried out through close collaboration between RISE and Chalmers university, together with Swedish and European industrial and academic partners. Over a six-month period, several workshops and online meetings were held in collaboration with EurA, a proposal-writing consultancy from Germany, to define the concept, objectives, work plan, and partner roles for the Horizon Europe TAILORR proposal, ensuring strong alignment with EU priorities and industrial needs.
