Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to investigate and clarify the needs of Vinnova-funded research centers. The project was intended to generate a well-established picture of the needs of the types of process management support that are suitable to offer. Interviews formed the basis for the insight work. The preliminary study also intended to investigate and build a suitable consortium, where RISE validated appropriate actors and planned efforts and support for the upcoming project. Furthermore the pre-study aimed to propose suitable follow-up research for the subsequent Project.
Expected long term effects
The result of the project is a proposal for the establishment of a Center Management Program (CLP) which intends to last for a 2-year period and is offered center managers. During the program, ten themes will be touched upon, which have been mapped based on the interviews conducted with center managers and administrators at Vinnova. Potential experts, who may deliver in the program, are mapped and follow-up research for the center management program has been designed.
Approach and implementation
The preliminary study was initiated with a need-identifying phase to identify the needs for process management support that existed. In order to do this, interviews were conducted with 13 of 16 center managers and 4 administrators from Vinnova. In addition, collected material from workshops, progress reports and evaluations of previous research center programs has been analyzed. The needs picture has since been anchored and based on this, a proposal for packaging a center management program has been prepared and submitted to Vinnova in a proposal.
