Important results from the project
The purposes are to identify the: challenges experienced by the factories of AstraZeneca (AZ) and Ericsson in India and Sweden: knowledge, technologies and solutions that are necessary to meet the challenges: New Indian partners. The goals achieved are identified: - Challenges and needs in production and maintenance - Technologies needed to meet the challenges and needs - Potential impact of technologies on AZ and Ericsson organisations - A conceptual model to realizing a solution, smart sustainable integrated production maintenance system supported by Plug-and-Play smart PdM.
Expected long term effects
The results achieved are identified and described: problems/challenges that the factories of AZ and Ericsson experienced in Sweden and India: technologies to meet challenges: a conceptual model describing how to construct Smart Pro system, data flow, etc. supported by a Plug-and-Play Smart PdM. All these provide a platform for the next project to realise, test and demonstrate smart sustainable integrated production-maintenance systems, which will help the factories meeting the challenges, avoiding the problems and related economic losses to enhance company competitiveness.
Approach and implementation
WP1, WP2 & WP3 were interdependent. WP1 was responsible of management, development of conceptual model and final reports. WP2 was responsible of identifying the challenges that AZ and Ericsson are experienced, therefore it started by gathering data and analysis of production-maintenance process. WP3 was responsible of identifying the technologies needed to meet the challenges. Based on WP2 and WP3 results, WP1 developed a conceptual model that describes a system for effective production planning, follow-up and decision-making supported by a smart automatic cost-effective PdM.
