Purpose and goal

The project´s objective is to contribute to Sweden´s incubator companies being better able to work with the team issue in the early phase so that startups can strengthen their competitiveness. The preliminary study shows the following challenges when entrepreneurs, researchers & idea carriers are to form teams: - Competence supply ability - Missing incentive structure at the first crucial team completion - Methods and tools around building early phase teams for deep tech life science and broad incubation. - TMRL scale These need areas become the project´s work packages and focus areas

Expected effects and result

The project aims to create practical tools, spread knowledge, and meet the needs of entrepreneurs and early-stage researchers to promote sustainable growth and competitiveness. Incentive structures: Identify and spread examples. Test and evaluate a toolbox with investors and entrepreneurs. Competence supply: Collect tools and develop new ones that are missing. Test the toolbox, evaluate, and create opportunities for self-use. Team building: Develop a toolbox based on needs and test it against the target group. TMRL scale: Develop and test the scale against startups.

Planned approach and implementation

In the pilot, we want to turn the need areas of the preliminary study into work packages and focus areas: - Package and spread existing methods/tools, but also develop what is missing into a PRE-STEP tool box. - Pilot test the toolbox with companies/cases at incubators and innovation offices, then evaluate and iterate. - We want to investigate how the toolbox could be adapted for incubators, innovation offices, and holding companies. We have already seen a large demand from these parties through the commitment to the feasibility study. - The pilot spreads learning through ERFA.
