Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The overall aim of developing purchasing skills and an understanding of innovative processes, to stimulate R & D is partially satisfied by the implementation of PHASE 1. The phase was carried out according to the original plan with a positive result. The aim to contribute to the development of a market-based solution for the reuse ratio to increase, has to some extent been achieved by spreading of information and increasing knowledge about reuse and procurement of innovations during PHASE 1.

Results and expected effects

The need for new solutions is expected to be extensive as the reuse rate is low with the current system. The environmental and economic benefits are large if reuse may increase. The vision is that in the future there is no waste. Reuse systems will take us closer to this vision. Expected impact of PHASE 1 was mainly to get the needs identified and increase understanding of the societal challenge of reducing waste and the procurement of innovation. Effect is achieved.

Approach and implementation

The project is expected to be implemented in four phases. 1) Feasibility study - deeper problems and needs formulation 2) Call and investigation of solutions 3) Pilot tests 4) Basis for commercial contracts There has been a slight delay in PHASE 1 and an extension of PHASE 2, since some moments take longer than expected. February 1, 2014 Call for tenders published April 15, 2014 - deadlines for submission May 30, 2014 - decision / award 30 October 2014 - final report on solutions for PHASE 3
