Purpose and goal

The project aims to develop a strong Horizon Europe proposal under HORIZON-CL5-2026-02-D3-12, focusing on extending the lifetime of crystalline silicon PV modules through advanced cooling, monitoring, and circular design. MG and SP, in collaboration with the other project partners, aim to refine and formulate a coherent, innovative, and impactful project concept, and to strategically assemble a diverse and competent consortium. The goal is to develop an applicable and innovative application.

Expected effects and result

The partnership between 12 leading organizations in academia and industry across six European countries (Spain, UK, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and France) will form the foundation of a Horizon Europe proposal on extending the lifetime of PV modules. The project will deliver a technical concept for advanced cooling and monitoring, as well as complete work plans and a joint implementation plan for long-term innovation impact within a 50-page Horizon Europe proposal.

Planned approach and implementation

Horizon Europe proposal writing and submission. Building partnerships with a wide range of international partners. Work packages (WPs) and Gantt chart will be developed with detailed task descriptions, milestones, and deliverables within each partner’s area of expertise. The project includes the design of templates for pilots, budget development, technical proposal writing, and the creation of diagrams and illustrations to showcase technologies beyond the current state of the art.
