Important results from the project
The project achieved all its goals under the planning grant, with the successful submission of the GBR-ACT proposal to the 2025 Agroecology Partnership call. It integrates green biorefineries into agroecological value chains through a solid work plan, active stakeholder involvement, and a strong international consortium. The process also enhanced EU policy alignment, embedded key cross-cutting principles, and boosted Sweden’s capacity to lead future EU research initiatives.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to generate long-term impact by building transnational collaboration, aligning with EU strategies, and strengthening Swedish capacity in agroecological research. It fostered lasting networks, co-developed inclusive frameworks for sustainability and policy integration, and positioned the consortium to contribute to future EU research on sustainable food systems, green biorefineries, and circular bioeconomy, especially through stakeholder-driven approaches.
Approach and implementation
The project was successfully carried out as planned, following the proposed structure, activities, and timeline. Despite the short timeframe and overlap with holidays, early and regular coordination ensured smooth progress and risk mitigation. All planned tasks—proposal development, implementation planning, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategy—were completed on time. Collaboration across partners worked well, and no major disruptions occurred.
