Important results from the project
The aim of the pre-study was to map and evaluate the conditions for a learning platform about artificial intelligence based on a passion that 1) Increases the level of knowledge and changes the attitude to data-driven innovation among young women, 2) Contributes to developing data-driven innovation in the horse industry and 3) Contributes to increased innovation capacity. The test of the prototype showed that the method has a great potential to increase interest and the ability to understand and use open data and data-driven innovation in new target groups.
Expected long term effects
The pre-study has resulted in unique knowledge about how attitudes to and understanding of artificial intelligence can be improved with an inclusive and innovative learning platform. The method is based on the target group´s interests, passions and values, in this case the love of the horse, to explain and demonstrate the benefits of AI in an engaging way. The learning platform is scalable and can be applied to other areas, not least other female-dominated areas. The platform also has potential as a collaboration and idea-generating gathering point for the current industry.
Approach and implementation
The pre-study contained four work packages. In AP1, a detailed plan was made for the pre-study, which resulted in a good overview of the problems in the assignment. AP2 was a relatively large work package with a solid current situation analysis of challenges and the development of AI, a target group analysis and a stakeholder analysis. During AP3, a utility analysis was performed of the project´s potential and a detailed requirements specification for a future prototype. In AP4, the relatively full-scale prototype was created and tested successfully on the target group.
