Important results from the project
The overall project goal is to further strengthen actors in the PiiA domain to make sure Sweden stays competitive in process industry. This project cover what is described in the listed sub-goals: - Strengthen collaboration and cooperation between actors in the PiiA domain. This project has developed a new R&D cluster in west part of Sweden. - Support companies spreading PiiA insights and results. This project has developed a new web solution and given a lot of presentations. - Identify an industry initiative that could become a´light house´ projects. Project has developed proposals.
Expected long term effects
Below is a brief summary of some results: 1. Start of the new R&D network in western Sweden with the potential to build strong projects. 3 events conducted with great interest from players in the region. 2. PiiA Summit conducted with positive feedback, see http://sip-piia.se/summit/. 4. New design of logo and design language, the new website will be launched Q1 2017. 5. A variety of presentations and talks given spreading PiiA´s message. View PiiA´s website to selected presentations.
Approach and implementation
Results and effects has briefly been described above. This work is a continuous work that also continues 2017. Overall, the results for 2016 exceeded expectations, however it is difficult to quantify. Few reflections: - One analysis based on project result is that there is a gap linked to communication to make sure we reach out broader with for example social media. This to be managed 2017. - The work of the regional R&D environment is incredibly important to spread results and create activity, this way of working with regions is very powerful. Should be spread to other SIP.
