Purpose and goal
The Church of Sweden has by way of the project Öppen kyrka been able to make data available concerning its places, cultural heritage, activities and organization. The sources that have been published are: - Calendar Search, Calendar events within the Church of Sweden. - Församlingskartor, GIS-layers with parishborders. - Församlingssök, Information about a parish given an adress. - Platser, Places or locations used in the Church of Swedens activities. These are accessible via api.svenskakyrkan.se. They are descibed as DCAT-AP at api.svenskakyrkan.se/datasets/dcat.
Results and expected effects
The project resulted in that serveral data sources has been published on api.svenskakyrkan.se. These are described by using DCAT-AP which should result in making them available at öppnadata.se. In addition, a guide has been published at api.svenskakyrkan.se/komigang that helps a user to get started.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out from 2014-11-03 until 2015-03-20. It was managed by the IT-department at Kyrkokansliet in Uppsala in cooperation with the communication department.
