Important results from the project
CathPrints contribution to the project was to develop technology for easy integration into the catheter of the sensors developed and used in the project. CathPrint developed two solutions and thus fulfilled the goal. One of the solutions is also of great value for other types of catheters, particularly for electrophysiology catheters.
Expected long term effects
CathPrint developed two methods for integrating thin-film sensors on the outside of the catheter in this project. One of the methods can - through a minor modification - in addition to this usage also be used to replace the electrodes in electrophysiology catheters.
Approach and implementation
Production processes were developed for both methods. Prototypes were made and tested to verify that satisfactory functionality and quality was achieved.
