Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to engage the discussion and increase interest and awareness on sustainable AI. Elaine Weidman Grunewald, co-founder of the AI Sustainability Center, participated in the panel "AI for good: Can we make it happen" and contributed with insights and knowledge about social and ethical implications of AI, as well as the importance of developing and implementing AI with an ethical and sustainable lens.

Expected results and effects

The conversation on stage led to interesting discussions and increased awareness and attention regarding social and ethical implications of AI. There is an increased interest in AI and ethics, and we see a positive trend and commitment to these issues, the panel in Seattle further highlighted the discussion and resulted in engaged conversations and potential future projects.

Planned approach and implementation

The project was carried out in a smooth and efficient manner. All panelists had information in good time and a good collaboration through the project, good communication with NIS before the panel, and there were clear instructions both before and after the project.
